Arkansas Collegiate Model United Nations (ACMUN) Conference 2024

The 2024 ACMUN conference will be co-convened with the Oklahoma Model UN (OKMUN) and be cohosted in-person by Northeastern State University and Northwest Arkansas Community College on the NSU campus (in Tahlequah, Oklahoma) on Saturday, November 2 from 9 am to 6 pm. Conference registration and a country matrix (with available countries and committee assignments) will be available in August. United Nations General Assembly First Committee (GA1)

  • cyber espionage against countries and corporations
  • media disinformation on the Internet

Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS)

  • corporate social responsibility as relates to AIDS medications in Africa and Southeast Asia
  • movement to end AIDS by 2030

United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR)

  • international solutions to refugees on the US-Mexican border
  • internally displaced people throughout the world

United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

  • militarization of space

2025 ACMUN

The 2025 ACMUN conference will be hosted at Harding University (in Searcy, AR), and NWACC (in Bentonville, AR) will host in 2026.

Arkansas Collegiate Model United Nations (ACMUN) Conference 2023

The 2023 Arkansas Collegiate Model United Nations conference was hosted in-person on Nov. 3, 2023 by Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. Committees included Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Human Rights Council (HRC), Council of Arab League (AL), and Security Council (SC).

Other Conferences

There are high school Model UN conferences conducted throughout the state of Arkansas — for example, the Arkansas Model United Nations conference at the University of Central Arkansas (taking place in November), or the Northwest Arkansas Model United Nations conference at Northwest Arkansas Community College (held virtually in January 30, 2021). AMUN started in 1966 and has included thousands of high schools throughout Arkansas and the region.

There are also Model UN conferences taking place throughout the South and the rest of the United States.
