ACMUN 2025
Harding University (in Searcy, AR) will host the Arkansas Collegiate Model United Nations conference on Friday, November 7. The campus map, the schedule, the committees, the topics for the committees, the country matrix, and the registration form can be found below. 2025 ACMUN Committee Topics
Each committee, apart from the Security Council, will have two or three potential topics to address over the course of the conference. Committees will choose which topic to start with at the conference. While students will likely cover more than one topic, it is possible that they will not.
The Security Council will decide, as a group, which issues to deal with at the conference, itself, so that they can be flexible regarding which topics they address
Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
(1) Encouraging UN member-states to aggressively implement updated and improved greenhouse gas emission reduction targets (nationally determined contributions – NDCs) in order to effectively combat climate change.
(2) Addressing a decline in the quality of the global workforce, including decreases in the mathematics, science, and reading scores of students in developed countries.
(3) Addressing the fragmentation of the global economy, including protectionism, international trade restrictions (tariffs and non-tariff barriers), and geopolitical tensions.
Human Rights Council (HRC)
(1) Preventing human rights abuses against children in conflict situations.
(2) Protecting the rights of migrants and refugees, including the right to seek asylum.
(3) Addressing human rights abuses resulting from cyber-attacks, including the right to privacy in cyberspace and freedom of expression on the internet.
Council of the Arab League (AL)
(1) Addressing high unemployment rates among young men and women in the Middle East and North Africa.
(2) Addressing public demands for greater political participation and strengthening political institutions in the Middle East and North Africa.
(3) Addressing the continuing threats posed by extremist and terrorist groups in the Middle East and North Africa.

Paying for the Conference Registration
Once you have registered for picked your schools for the conference and confirmed your countries with the conference organizer, please pay the conference registration through the link for this Square Space form, or by scanning the QR code for the form. There are not team fees, but the conference registration is $20 per delegate. You will need to enter the total cost for your team by multiplying your number of student delegate by 20 and entering that total into the Square space form.
